Boss pricing is being updated this season, so we're quoting current prices directly rather than listing them online. Request a quote with your truck's year, make and model and we'll get back to you with an installed price.
What's in a plow package
- The plow — the blade, its hydraulics and its trip system.
- The undercarriage — the mount built for your specific truck.
- The wiring harness — Cold Front on current full-size Boss plows, 13-pin on the HTX.
- The controller and headlights — the in-cab control and the plow's LED lights.
- Installation — mounting, wiring and setup so it's ready to plow.
Our installed truck-plow quotes roll all of that — plus shop fees and tax — into one number. Box plows are the exception: they attach to your machine's quick-attach, so there's no truck installation.
What moves the price
Plow type
A straight blade is the simpler design; V-plows add hinged wings and more hydraulics; expandable plows like the EXT add moving wings. Within a type, a wider blade costs more than a narrower one.
Moldboard material
Across Boss's V-plows, poly and stainless steel moldboards cost more than steel. Many Maine buyers choose them anyway because neither rusts from road salt.
Trip design and options
Heavier-duty designs like the DXT's dual trip cost more than simpler trip systems, and options such as D-Force down pressure add to the price. D-Force has to be ordered with the plow.
Your truck
The undercarriage and wiring depend on your truck, and some trucks need more work than others. That's why we quote against your exact year, make and model.
Adding a spreader
Spreaders are priced separately. A tailgate spreader is the lighter-duty option; a VBX+ hopper spreader carries far more material and, with Cold Front, can share one harness with your Boss plow.
Buying a truck and plow together
Quirk sells the trucks too, so we can quote a truck and a Boss plow as one package. Plow-eligible trucks on Quirk Work Trucks show a Boss plow option right on the vehicle page.
