What hitch does a TGS tailgate spreader need?
The TGS 1100 and TGS 800 we carry both mount to a Class 4 receiver on 3/4- and 1-ton trucks. Boss also makes smaller TGS models for lighter trucks — ask us if you're working with a half-ton.

How much does a TGS hold, and how wide does it spread?
The TGS 1100 holds 11 cubic feet and the TGS 800 holds 8. Both spread from about 4 to 30 feet wide.

Tailgate spreader or hopper spreader?
A tailgate spreader keeps your bed mostly free and suits driveways, small lots and lighter routes. For long commercial routes, a VBX+ hopper spreader carries far more material between refills.

What warranty comes with a new Boss plow or spreader?
Complete Boss plows and spreaders carry Boss's 2-year limited warranty covering parts and labor from the date of purchase. Separately purchased parts and accessories are covered for 1 year, parts only. The warranty applies to the original buyer from an authorized dealer like us and doesn't transfer to a later owner — one more reason to buy new from a dealer.
