DXT Plow

Both are Boss V-plows for 3/4- and 1-ton trucks in 8'2" and 9'2" widths, with steel, poly or stainless moldboards. The DXT adds Boss's dual-trip system, a heavier-duty pushframe and the option of D-Force down pressure, and it weighs roughly 80 lb more. For commercial lots with curbs, islands and frozen windrows, the DXT's extra protection earns its keep; for lighter or mixed routes, the XT is a strong, lighter choice.

The DXT can trip two ways. On a smaller obstacle, like a raised manhole lip, just the cutting edge folds back; on a bigger hit, the whole moldboard trips forward. Either way the plow gives instead of sending the shock into your truck's frame and front end.

The 8'2" and 9'2" DXT are built for 3/4- and 1-ton pickups — Ram 2500/3500, Ford F-250/F-350, Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. The 10' DXT is meant for medium-duty trucks. We confirm fit for your exact truck, including its front axle rating, before you buy.

D-Force is hydraulic down pressure that holds the blade against the pavement, which makes back-dragging away from garage doors and loading docks much cleaner. On the DXT it's available on the 8'2" and 9'2" models, and it has to be ordered with the plow — it isn't a later add-on.

Steel is the traditional, easy-to-repair choice. Stainless steel resists rust from road salt and keeps its looks for years. Poly is slick, so snow rolls off cleanly, and it won't rust either. Many Maine contractors pick stainless or poly for exactly that salt exposure.

Complete Boss plows and spreaders carry Boss's 2-year limited warranty covering parts and labor from the date of purchase. Separately purchased parts and accessories are covered for 1 year, parts only. The warranty applies to the original buyer from an authorized dealer like us and doesn't transfer to a later owner — one more reason to buy new from a dealer.
